Nursery & Preschool
Gateway Kids:
Gateway Kids is a ministry committed to caring for kids and helping them have fun as they grow in Jesus. Here at Gateway Church, we don’t to simply baby-sit your children on Sunday mornings. We’re here to provide a safe and fun environment that will lead your child to follow Jesus. It’s our honor to partner with you in this task.
Sunday Morning
Nursery (6 weeks to 1 year)
Toddler (1 and 2 years)
Preschool (3 to 5 years)
We operate with four core values:
Safety
We will provide a safe environment for children to enjoy. We want children to be safe and feel safe, and parents to rest assured that their child is well cared-for while they are in the service. For this reason, we obtain applications and background checks on every volunteer. Adults are never alone with children, and there are always two adults with children at all times.
Fun
We want your child to have fun! Our desire is to see your child have such a good time they will be begging you to come back next week. We believe creating this fun environment for kids will help children learn more about Jesus. We use games, crafts, props and creative stories to communicate the message, and we think it’s okay to have a good time at church.
Truth
We don’t want to simply entertain children, and we’re not here to babysit. We want children to learn about Jesus. Lessons about Christ and the Bible will be age appropriate and will help them understand God’s love and plan for their life.
Team
We believe that what happens at home is more important than what happens at church. Gateway Kids is partnering with parents by providing resources, support, and encouragement as they lead their families from where they are to where God wants them to be.

Who Is Teaching My Kids?
At Gateway Church, your child’s safety and spiritual growth are a top priority. All Gateway Kids volunteers have completed background checks and are trained through MinistrySafe to ensure a secure and caring environment. Our team is made up of trusted, passionate people who love Jesus and love kids, and who are committed to partnering with you to help your child grow in faith.
What will my child be learning?
Each month, Gateway Kids focuses on a new, age-appropriate theme that is integrated across all environments, from nursery through elementary. Kids experience engaging worship, a Bible-based lesson, hands-on crafts, and fun play time that all reinforce the monthly theme. This approach helps children learn God’s truth in ways that are meaningful, memorable, and fun, while building a consistent spiritual foundation as they grow.
How do you handle allergies and medical needs?
Your child’s health and safety are very important to us. During check-in, parents can note any allergies, medical conditions, or special instructions, which are shared securely with our Gateway Kids team. Our volunteers are trained to follow these guidelines carefully, and we take extra precautions with snacks, activities, and classroom environments to help keep every child safe and cared for.
